I have a very messed up back. Thanks to the arthritis from crohns I have nerves being pinched at many places causing numbness and pain and even some spurs pressing on the spinal nerve inside of vertebra . Doc says this is not something that can be fixed at one time and I will need multiple surgerys soon. I'm wondering if anyone has had good results from acupuncture . I know its not a fix all , but I dont want to be cut on anymore. Just want to make a few more years and then they can send me to a glue factory . Anybody have some relief with the pin cushion treatment ??

Well, my brother has it done for MS all the time and finds it helps with his leg nerves...that's what I know. I say, it's worth a try!!! Some insurance plans cover it so it must be good. Good Luck!

I had no drastic improvements for joint pain. I found the money better spent on a chiropracter. Although I enjoyed relaxing for the hour while getting treated. I gave it a 2 month trial to see if anything got better. Mabey it will work for you. Try and find a clinic to help lower the cost if it is not covered by insurance.
Diagnosed with Crohns in 1998. Been on and off pred, entocort, immuran, asacol. Remicade every 6 weeks along with Asacol worked great for 1 yr. Began having joint pain 01/2010. Switched to Humira May 2010 and asacol. Joint paion finally under control in July!! Pregnant due in November.

Looks like not many want extra needles stuck in them. Wish I knew it would help. My insurance will not pay for it and I hate to go through the expense and lost time . But if it would help they could make me look like a hedgehog and I would not care,
If we would read the secret history of our enemies,we would find in each mans life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.
