(((mdf))) I was in that situation last year. Though I am spoiled by my parents (and I'm SO thankful), it's no fun for me to not have money to pick out presents for them. I really love finding the perfect present that makes them happy. I was so BAH Humbug last year, so I understand. I hope things turn around and next year's Christmas makes up for this year.
I must gush just a bit because I'm SO excited today! I got the bonsai tree (for Dad) delivered today and it's PERFECT! I really think I did good and I hope he's as excited to
open it as I am, because he's so hard to shop for. He doesn't need anything, but has a green thumb, so the bonsai is the perfect gift for him (if I do say so myself!).
I also found something that next year I'll get Mom. The place I ordered the bonsai has real wreaths made of eucaliptis, berries, and other live things, and you can dry it and use it year after year (though it smells best the first year of course!). So...I already know what I'll be getting Mom next year!
I wish I could bottle my energy right now and send you some giddiness (but I'll keep my headache and nausea to myself, of course). It's overwhelming...and I have 3 days before I can see Dad's face as he
opens his present.
Sorry, I'll stop now. (((((happy holiday gushy love))))) to all of you. Oh, and Ivy, tell all the kiddies to get off the puter so you can converse with everyone!
