Hello, I've been a member for years but I haven't posted on here in a long time.
For years I've been having bile diarrhea, but it has escalated to being a constant source of worry and misery.
Last April I realized how I had digressed to not being able to handle any fat intake. Over that year, I had just really significantly changed. So I went in for a crohn's checkup and I begged for her to figure it out.
I had went to having frequent dumping episodes, where I randomly have this horrible, barely make it, mass of diarrhea and frequent episodes until plain bile scorches it's way out. This is accompanied by chills, shakiness, light headed, weak, tired and intestinal pain. Also, I was getting terrible day long headaches.
I had the gallbladder function test and it came back 33%, she said they wouldn't remove anything over 30%. She also cautioned that I could just make it way worse. It appears that now my gallbladder doesn't release bile when I need it, then dumps it all out causing the dumping syndrome, but if they remove it, the bile could just constantly come on down the intestines.
I have taken questran for years, but I don't think it helps in these "dumps". Does anyone else live with this situation? I end up terrified of these episodes happening in public. I am convinced that this bile is keeping my rectum constantly irritated/swelled and adding to proctitis problems.
