Well after 4 surgeries I have finally come to the conclusion that I have Crohn's disease. My most recent bout involved a leak in my small intestine which caused multiple fistulas/tracts to my psaos muscle. I had a very large infection in the muscle which also extended to my abdomenal muscles thus causing me to be hospitalized with IND surgery. I decided to follow drs. orders and resume treatment on Remicade. But I also decided to continue with alternative stuff.. so i take multi-vitamins, vsl #3, and i am really trying to eat better. My last flare up was in 2008 miraculosly the fistulas healed themselves after the docs prescribed me with many antibiotics.
Anywho, I can share more as time progresses. My story is pretty deep so I don't want to overwhelm myself or anyone else with the memories. I just want support!! People don't understand what it's like to have an internal illness because all they see is your external attributes. I hope some of you can offer assistance with diets I should be consuming.. and honestly I need more info about Crohns in of itself (excuse spelling and typos).
I look forward to hearing from you all.
