So, after having blood tests come back negative(doctor said they only help if they are positive), I'm kind of in a gray area and not really sure what it is, but it seems like people with Crohn's have the most similar symptoms to my own.
Anyway, I've lost about 20 lbs(my normal weight is about 168-169) in the past couple months. My appetite has gradually decreased from skipping a meal every few days, to now where I haven't eaten a meal in about 3 days. I know this is bad, but recently even when I'm hungry I'm hesitant to eat because more and more often it's leading to pretty bad stomach/abdomen pains and sometimes cramps(oh the cramps). I am having a CT scan done monday. I think the only part of me the doctor hasn't looked at so far is the small intestine. Do any of you have this issue? Is there anything you can do to help it? At first I thought it was certain foods that triggered the pain, but now it's looking like anything does it and I really don't want to lose anymore weight. The GI prescribed me an appetite stimulant but I'm hesitant to take it because I'm pretty worried about it making me feel like I'm starving, causing me to decide between eating and having terrible pain in my abdomen, or just dealing with the starvation.
I am getting so frustrated with whatever this disease is. On top of the hunger/pain issues, I have a fistula that causes horrible pain for hours and hours after every single BM. I'm seeing a rectal surgeon next week for it also, but my GI seems to think he won't want to do anything to it since I'm inflammed down there and it could lead to complications, which means what? I'm stuck dealing with the pain?
Thank you I needed to vent, this stuff is causing me so much frustration and I don't know anyone else that has these problems other than this forum. Thanks for reading
