I can remember when my Crohn's was active ending up in ER just about
once a month (menstraul periods) and being given a shot of demerol and phenergan and sent home.
Of course, I was almost always bloated and VERY nauseous or even gagging and dry heaving (I would have done all my heaving and been empty by the time I got to ER).
But that was years ago. I don't know if ER docs are that "benevolent" any more.
The scope can only account for some 5'-6' of large bowel, it can't tell them diddley-squat about what's going on higher up in the small intestine.
Blood work is notoriously unreliable.
My computer says I need to upgrade my brain to be compatible with its new software.
