So I went to my GI on Monday for a flex sig scope. Afterwards, he told me that the CT scan showed inflammation on my left side and he confirmed it with the scope. He changed my Humira from every 2 weeks to every week for a month. I asked if this was the cause of my problems and he said definetely.
It does feel good to get a diagnosis, but I am still sceptical. I know inflammation can make a person go through what I am going through and many have said I might be in a flare. Here is my dilema (sp?). For many many years I have always had inflammation somewhere with my Crohn's. Back in Februray, when I had my colonoscopy, that even showed inflammation where he is finding it now. So my question is why am I now getting all these nasty symptoms out of nowhere. I guess this is just all part of the disease but it is really getting me down. I have been getting so depressed and this just makes it worse. On top of everything else, this has really taken a toll on my body and I have no energy anymore. I go on vacation in 2 weeks (going on a cruise) and I really want to enjoy myself...but don't know if I can. My wife wants to cancel our shore exscursions because she thinks it would be too much traveling for me but I don't want to. I refuse to let this ruin my life again.
Just felt I needed to vent a little. Thanks for listening.
