My urinalysis for bacteria came back clean and now they think it's a PID. Basically my symptoms are fever (99.7, my temp is usually 97.something, runs low), low abdominal pain, like in my bladder, pain in my lower back/, more so on the right, nausea, dizziness. No private relations in months, been back on 50mgs 6mp since January. I had a good run, 10 months without taking immune suppressants. Things were really looking up! But now I am starting the 5 year course all over again. First time I was hospitalized for 8 days from my Crohn's was in March. Last check on the TPMT levels showed it was barely in the therapeutic zone but close to being damaging to my liver. Which is weird, I was on 75 mgs last course for 2 & 1/2 years.
The second part is, I need your opinions. How do you manage taking immune suppressants? Since being on them, I have had multiple UTI's, strep multiple times, salmonella for 9 months, fungal infection in my foot, fungal infection in the corners of my mouth, pneumonia, ovarian cyst the size of a lemon (probably not related?), HPV that came out of no where, hair falling out, multiple colds/flus easily caught.... I am sure I am missing things. Do you all deal with that much madness? This is all in 3 1/2 years. If I have the surgery, I will still have to stay on a maintenance med aka immune suppressant, correct? Just when I think I get Crohn's I realize I don't know dookie. Thank you all for your input. I am having a very frustrating, bad thoughts kind of day. I feel this is a very unfair way to live and this is all I am ever going to know. Wits end is an understatement :/
