Thank you for all your inputs. ;]
I cannot agree more with all the things that you guys have said. As you can see in my signature, I have a really strict diet usually and it's like a must thing to keep up to do what I want to do.
I eat Subway sandwiches occasionally like once every two weeks, because Subway states that all of their meats do not contain MSG, as their website has stated. However, some contain some flavorings but if it does, it says right on the menu.
Unlike Taco bells and other fast food chains, I've been alright with subway sandwiches and ofc, I get no sauce/dressings.
I have severe adverse reactions to Asacol, too. The symptoms are high fever, liquidy D with excruciating gut ripping pain.
I, too, cannot have any of those artificial ingredients. I couldn't gain a single POUND from drinking Ensure. It contains a lot of rubbish stuff like HFS and maltodextrin. And it caused indigestion and bloating for me.
I've gained about
20 lbs from just eating 4-5 meals a day, mostly composed of boiled meat + rice + rice pasta + avocados. And this worked even though I was running close to 4 miles a day too lol.
I'll stick with my self cooked meals until things calm down. You might be right. Perhaps got the MSG containing meat. Who knows.
Until I was hit hard with CD, my belief was that what traps and hinders people is nothing other than the thoughts they give rise to. But the reality is that preservative/additive contain food bother me.
My uncle once said, if you take your meds thinking that it will cure you then it will do the trick. Wanting this placebo effect to take place, I took the Asacol again but guess what, I nearly died lol.
Anyways, we're all different.
