My goodness! There's nothing embarrassing about
My bet would be that it's a skin tag. The way my gastro doctor described it, the body tries so hard to heal inside that it over-produces cells, so some of them get pushed out, forming the tag.
Yes, I would call your doctor on Monday, maybe, (it's too late to call now in your country, isn't it?), and tell him / her what has happened, and see what s/he'd like to do. It's possible s/he'll schedule an appointment for you, just so s/he can take a look at it and make sure it is a tag and nothing else.
I could be wrong, of course, but a skin tag would be my bet.
Ivy (I have one too).
