SCD was not working for me until I went low carb. A great book is Life Without Carbs, it explains why too many crabs are bad for us Crohnies. This was a life changing book for me.
For SCD to work you have to be fanatically compliant. So I do not eat those things you mentioned and a bunch more. And as there are hidden ingredients in almost all processed foods, I do not eat stuff out of a can. Basically I prepare my meals about
98% of the time and only eat in restaurants very rarely.
Please note, I am happy to share my experience, but as many will point out here, what works for me, unfortunately may not work for you. I wish someone could just tell us what to eat and all would be good but that is not the reality. Each of us has to figure out our own plan.
Be really careful with the coconut oil. Start with just a bit. It is not uncommon to feel poorly for a couple of days when you first start. Believe it or not, that is a good sign, it is the die off from the bad bugs. So start slow and even if you are a little off, usually within 3 to 5 days you feel better.
