SO for years I have been complaining that I always have fluid in my ears. I just have to drop my jaw and you can hear it sort of pop. It was very uncomfortable when I was flying a lot, but my doc at that time tended to brush off everything. I had finally had it again when they were really bad for 6 weeks after a cold was gone. My current GP (a wonderful doc) gave me a steroid nasal spray. He said if that didn't work to dry them out, we would look into tubes in the ears.
Well, the nasal spray only worked while I used it and I found I had horrible headaches when I used it. The fluid continued and is now very bad again multiple weeks post another cold. I desperately reached for the steroid spray to get some sleep Sunday night and my head hurt amazingly the next day and today. I never went back to him between....feel silly with what kids usually get if I end up with the tubes and quite honestly nervous if they affect hearing especially in mid 40s. Frankly, I feel sill complaining about this when there are much worse things, but it really does bother me daily and most of a day.
Anyone know about the tubes and had them when not a kid?
