Well, we went supermarket shopping today :p
I was rather conflicted over what to buy, as I was given two possible dates for a colonoscopy today. By far the most likeliest one is on the 3rd November, but there's a possibility I could have one this Wednesday. I didn't want to stock up as though I was preparing for hunkering down in a post-nuclear apocalypse world, just in case I do get the colonoscopy done in 2 days and am given the all-clear to eat normally.
So I compromised. Bought some chicken legs/wings, ginger and coconut milk (to make a thai-style broth), some packet soups, and Bisto gravy granules. Basically, I made stripey's dish >_>. I saw that my mum had Smash (instant potato) in the cupboard and that gave me the idea for potato and gravy. I'm glad, too, 'cos I had two bowfuls of the stuff and enjoyed it.
@Zanne - do you mean chocolate/caramel sauce or the solid blocks of chocolate? I'm okay-ish with sugar; too much chocolate doesn't do me any favours, but an occasional bar is okay. Incidentally, I nearly bought a tub of Waitrose Magadascan Vanilla luxury custard today - I can eat good custard on its own quite happily. But I decided it wasn't worth the risk of an adverse reaction.
@ivy - that sounds like quite a good idea actually. Still got a bit of chicken stock left, so I can make a veggie soup out of it. We've got carrots; is it all right to bung in other stuff like onions, leeks, mushrooms, etc., as I'm not that big a carrot fan really.
I didn't get to a chemist's btw, so no polycose.
Oh yeah, almost forgot: the dietician phoned today and I'm seeing her tomorrow. More fortisips, I hope :p
