Yep! I'm on Depo Provera and it has been a blessing! It completely stops my periods, one less major annoying thing to worry about! As I have severe perianal involvement with my Crohn's, other people and I were always down there working on that area and having my period in addition just always made things extra blahhhh. Also, it's one less pill I have to worry about taking everyday!
I will say, though, that I've gained weight on it. My sister also went on it and gained about 30 pounds.
Hi RiddleMe this is Jen I 2 had been put on the needle Depo due 2 heavy periods that stopped cold in about 2 months,,I have no children and that was with one needle and the docs brushed it of by saying its ok we know its not normal but u r so under weight u r always getting blood transfusions what happened was this my period stopped when I was 21 and just came back at 37 and I think I'm gonna bleed 2 death,I got an app with my OBGYN on the 30 of next month,,is that what happened 2 u as well I'm scared its cancer sorry 4 changing the subject in this post but I didn't want 2 start another that was already on the same topic thanks your reply will really help..
Had Crohns 17 years had numerous bowel resections,fistulas,fissures,hemmies,kidney problems,fibro,arthritis,dignosed at 13 had GI feeding tube,nasal feeding tube,cental lines,ports,4 ruptured bowel emergency surgeries,TMJ,depression,current meds are Hydromorphone,30 ,Hydromophome,8 ,Ketoprofen,100 ,Trazadone,50 ,Lorazepam,10 ,Zopliclone,5 ,atriplyine,75 ,Losac,50 Tylenol Athritis ,B-12 injections ,Iron injections ,Gravol,75 Predisone,5mg ,Humira,40mg once a week.Still looking for the doctor with all the answers if you find him forward him to me please.P.S my bathroom is the nicest room in my house cause i spend so much time there,i am thinking about installing the computer and maybe a hot-dog stand.
