Anyone experiencing(ed) this? Idk if its nerves or 100mg of Imuran, which is the only medicine I'm on not including a multi vitamin.

When did it start for you?

Well I have been on Imuran for 5 years, but only at 50-75mg. I was off it for 2 months pre and post surgery. Started back up in June at 100mg. Started noticing the redness in sep. when I went back to school. I have no idea if its something in my school house or anxiety (though it seems to be random, not when I'm stressed or anything). I figured it might be the higher dose of Imuran.

I did read that b6 can cause redness, but all I take is a multi vitamin that has 75% of your daily value of b6.

When I start to flare, my cheeks get red. This is my first symptom! It is very noticable. My hubby will be walking by, stop, stare then tell ME I am flaring, LOL!

Well it can't be a flare, because I have been having this for months, and 3 weeks ago I got a colonscopy and 0 signs of disease. Had a colon resection in May.

I have reddish toned skin on my face all the time, but I am currently in a flare and on 30mg of Prednisone and 100mg of 6MP. I look like a tomato face with big dark circles under my eyes. I'm just waiting for the moon face to join the action! For me I think it's the Prednisone, because I had it before I started the 6MP. It doesn't hurt, so I just wear extra foundation and try not to think about it.

I don't think its roseacea cause it comes and goes for weeks at a time. Also don't you get little bumps with roseacea?

I get red cheeks, red nose and forehead. This occurs at random, and usually toward the end of the day. Looks like a flushed face and is warm to the touch. I usually run a low grade fever as well. This has been going on for 3 months and my Crohn's is in remission. I was recently tested (third time) for Lupus, but it came back negative. Must just been an auto-immune reaction of some sort. The only medicine I am currently taking is Nexium, and I've been on it for 10 years.

Red cheeks are my "tell" for a flare. Has been for years. Remember, colonoscopies only see what's in the colon, not the small intestine. Not trying to scare you, but just a thought.
