Have had mouth ulcers my whole life! Through trial and error I can say...
DON'T... eat spicy food, starcy food, any food that may get in the sore, any acidic food, food that is too warm/hot, chocolate and especially don't use a toothpaste that has too much floride in it. (Prob not eating any of those anyway!)
DO... use "igloo" just before eating (it coats the ulcer and stops the pain being as bad while eating but soon falls off :-/)... drink as much water as you can stomach!... do keep your mouth as clean as possible... and yes there is a miracle mouthwash which your doctor can prescribe which literally numbs the whole mouth and is amazing! also I have found when they are really bad (sometimes I can get up to 50 at the same time of all different sizes) use a thick straw and put it right to the back of our tongue to drink soup so it does not touch the skin inside your mouth at all and then after immediately gargle with salt water.
Hope that helps! Little ones don't bother me anymore but the big ones are so painful! Good luck!
