Day 10 of hospital stay

So after counting I was shocked that its day 10, but yes its Sunday today and my surgery was on Friday afternoon...so wow...

Anyway...I have had the TPN in for a few days..it seems to be doing its job...I had a CT scan on Wed to make sure things were healing well inside and they are....some gas is passing so all good....doc has finally moved me to a full fluid diet now and see how that works...

My water retention was so bad its holding up my recovery alot..I could barely walk except to go to washroom after they took out the catheter...I could not bring myself to a standing position without help at all....so far about half the retention is gone...but things are still tough so finally the doc is giving me a shot for that so I can get rid of this water retention....then I can be functioning at a normal level for this stage after an operation of this type.

I clearly excpected things to go well and go home on Monday, but the water retention and lack of bm have made that choice for me..lol So possibly Tues or Wed....those where also days I thought I would possibly get to go home.

AND because you were not in the best physical shape due to the disease activity causing the emergency.
