Anyone ever had to deal with E-Faecalis? I had my second resection due to scar tissue three weeks ago. The incision was left
open to heal and I have had Home Health coming out to do the dressing. Well last week it started to smell and get gooey so I went for a visit to the surgeon and they took a biopsy. They called me yesterday and said this bacteria is in it and it is very resistant to antibiotics so I have to go in tomorrow and get a pic line and then have an infusion of antibiotics every day for six weeks. This sounds like a pain in the butt to have to go everyday but after looking in up online it can be
pretty hard to get rid of. I guess I am annoyed that this being my second resection and it was planned as my first one was not and I perforated with a big mess but never got this bad infection when recovering. I really thought this one would be smooth sailing, apparently not.
