I could use any input.
So, I've been struggling with CD since 2003, mostly abdominal symptoms until about 2-3 years ago. Boy, since then I've struggled with really bad mouth and esophogeal ulcers which have made swallowing interesting and painful at times. My throat gets really dry at times, so much I have to have gum and a cough drop in my mouth at the same time. This comes and goes. Off and off prednisone for flares. I'd have my asthma flare and after going to ER thinking I was having a heart attack - I couldn't breath - I was told that the GERD was triggering asthma symptoms - acid spilling into my lungs and causing inflammation.
Now, I've been off prednisone for two months. when ever I eat anything or drink anything (I'm gluten free) ... and it can be water. Doesn't matter if it is a sip or a gulp ... early day or late at night ... I cough, my lungs are inflamed. I am not thinking it is GERD as it while I am swallowing and directly after .. I don't even think it has time to digest ....
What is going on?
I feel inflammation in my middle esophagus now ... this comes and goes as do my swollen lymph nodes (which are not swollen now).
Any help would be appreciated.
