I have a question that maybe someone can help me with. I am going to be having my my 7th remicade infusion in three weeks and honestly by now I thought I'd be able to eat normal. I haven't had so much as a piece of lettuce or a piece of fruit since September 2010. My GI said by June of this year I would be able to have a tbsp. of cooked carrots (lucky me lol). Until then I stick to my pureed carrots and cauliflower and meat. When I eat fibre and sugar I end up have running to the restroom urgently. I am so frustrated.
SO the question is - I thought being on remicade would help you so you could gradually incorporate "healthier" foods into your regular diet (e.g. salads etc.). Do you just go ahead and start adding these foods gradually yourself? I am sooo confused.
I realize this is different for everyone but a general idea would give me a bit of hope.

Currently on remicade, iron
