I have been having chest pain for about
a year now. Cardiac test showed a minor result and the heart specialist basically brushed it off as live with it since it is not what my family history has shown. It really hurts sometimes!
My wonderful GP is trying other ideas and he went with the acid reflux and low magnesium theories. Still have pain.
Today was my 6month follow up with my gastro. He is fantastic. He asked what was new medically...I mentioned the heart thing then went right into my tag issues. He made sure to circle back around to chest pain. He has me scheduled for an upper endo just to make sure there are no esophageal issues (which I think is possible due to my more recent inability to eat some foods and drinks). He really wanted me to have an answer for sure why I had the pain. Even after he dropped me at the scheduling desk...he came back with more questions. I could tell he was checking things out! Forgot to mention he didn't like that I ignored the tags as much---going to see a new rectal surgeon to make sure no fistula (please, please, please) and see if there is something they can do to stop the tearing and stinkyness.
I don't like to treat too much, but it is nice when I have a real issue to be paid attention to!
ps--gastro did not have too much of an issue that I was using neosporin with pain relief and totally understood why I quit the calmoseptine.
