I know that when I am low on B12 or on Potassium, I have increased leg cramps.  However, I am feeling a lot of sharp pains in my calves despite taking K every day and being up to date on my b12 injections.  I can't seem to find anything else in searches and am assuming it is dietary.  I am "sort of" flaring and I am not eating as well as usual.

I think I will start adding some Enusre each day for a while, but would like any other ideas on misisng diet "stuff".

Are you drinking enough water. I used to get horrible cramps in my calves when I was pregnant and was told it was from not getting enough liquids. Worth a try! :)

I get very low on magnesium when I have bouts of diarrhea. Then I have severe cramps in my feet and lower legs. Word of caution...too much magnesium can cause diarrhea. Some supplement types are better absorbed. Not near my refereces to tell you which ones.

i have pains in the backs of both legs everyday. no matter what i do the pain hasn't gone away. I got a bunch of blood work done and i go back tomorrow to the rhemutologist and they are going to go over it all tomorrow with me. they did call me and say some level came back low but i was distracted when they called so i'll find out all the info tomorrow.

Thanks folks...

sherbear - that is a distinct possibility.  Will pump in more liquids.

Ides - I am taking magnesium every day (was hoping that would fix my chest pain issues).  I am interested in the ones that cause D.  You now have mewondering if that is causing my gut issues lately.

Mommy - thanks would like to hear what your rheumy says.  I want to make sure this is not my nerve being pinched in my back again, but pretty sure it is nutritional as it came on when the mini flare did.

So I don't have much to report about the calf pain except I have a very long list of bloodwork to get done and don't go back for a month. I'm going to post here in a minute about the appt under the other thread I started a little while ago. They are looking at different vitamin deficiencies as well as a few other things.
