So I called his office this morning and got a call back within two hours.
In the first call, the nurse just asked for more information, where, what, when type of thing.
In the second call, she said that the doctor wanted me to come in and I said it was impossible, being the first day of school and all that. She also said that the doctor wants me to have a blood test, which is awesome!
When I got Remicade in Vegas, they tested my blood each time beforehand. I've been here a year and no one has tested my blood, not even once.
In the third call, she scheduled an appointment to see the doctor on Friday and she told me that the doc wants me on cipro/flagyl, which I think is stupid. This will be the 5th time I've taken flagyl, all with decreasing amounts of success.
So he's doing exactly what I thought he would: treating this mass very aggressively.
But I'm not sure it's warranted.
This abscess or cyst doesn't really hurt. It's swollen and you can obviously feel a lump, but it's not getting bigger.
What does it mean?
Can anybody relate?
My first abscess was a lot like this. It didn't really hurt. It was just a lump on my perineum that quickly went away with cipro flagyl. My second abscess was mild, and then doubled in size when I started taking cipro flagyl.
Anybody out there with an abscess that doesn't hurt?
