Hi codfish, yep, Tylenol is OK for us with Crohn's to take.
Tylenol Cold and Flu Severe/Active ingredients-
Acetaminophen 325 mg
Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg
Guaifenesin 200 mg
Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg
Aleve, Advil and other aspirin type meds that contain NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) are to be avoided. They may increase bleeding in the intestines and may lead to the formation of ulcers.
Tylenol/Acetaminophen is almost entirely absorbed by the small intestine and metabolized by the liver. It is gentle on the stomach unlike the others mentioned above.
