Now for the part where I get to tell you how stupid she is! LOL
We were sitting in the waiting room of the infusion center, and I told my husband that I hoped these nurses would be able to access my port. He felt the incision area, and then he felt the bump about
an inch below it. He got a quizzical look on his face and said, "I think it's down here, not where the nurse had been poking you." I felt where he was now feeling, and sure enough, I could feel it. Then I felt above at the incision (where the nurse was trying to access my port), and I felt what she had been trying to "access"...it was my COLLARBONE!!
When I told the infusion nurse about
where the urgent care nurse was poking me, she said "Next time you go to urgent care, have them come grab one of us. We'll come down and do it for you."
MY COLLARBONE!!!!!!!! The heck?!?!?! My husband, who has no medical training could figure it out!!
I am 28 years old.
Meds: Buspirone for anxiety, multi vitamin, vitamins d and c, trying to find an iron supplement that my body will digest and keep down, Oxycontin and Oxycodone for pain (working on weening from them), 4 pills three times a day of Mesalamine, and Prednisone until about
first week of October. If these don't work, we are going to try Humira or Remicade (again).
