It's a few days after thanksgiving, and besides not feeling well the day before and the day of thanksgiving, I'm still not feeling 100% well. I've been bed ridden with terrible stomach pains and I've even gotten so naseaus that I've vomited. I didn't over-do it on the food at all, I think it was just the stress. I would hate to skip a holiday and a chance to be with my family, but if this is what I can expect for Christmas dinner I think I would rather stay in bed and eat crackers.
I've been put on the Remicade infusions and my doctor and I are still trying to get the dosage and timing right to help prevent flare ups. I've tried just about everything, from organic to immuno-suppressants, and you have to do what makes you feel better because you're the one who has to live with the pain and discomfort and sometimes downright embarressment of this disease.
