unfortunately it doesn't give any statistical or case information about
the study and I didn't find any others but Having had the IgG test done myself and the huge relief it has given me I suggest seeking out a Dr that will order this test for her. They are not easy to find and in general the medical community does not place any significance on the correlation between food and these chronic inflammatory conditions but simple searches will show you people who it has worked for. Western medicine is about
finding drugs to treat conditions not finding the underlying causes or looking for cures. For myself finding out the foods that I was allergic/ intolerant to has allowed me to be med free and basically symptom free for two years. It absolutely is not a cure, just like celiacs, if you eat the food you react to you have symptoms, it doesn't go away. The test I had was for 125different foods and I came up positive for a reaction to 14. The worst for me was yeast, which is naturally occurring and basically can be in anything in some form or amount which is why I was always so sick. It also has been studied in crohns disease (ASCA) and found that 60-80% of crohns patients, also those with it tend to have a more severe course of disease. I read the book "why doesn't my dr know this" by Dr dahlman which brought into question for me the role of food allergies. I had several Dr's over several years tell me food wasn't a cause and would not order the test. Finally after too many years of suffering and irreversible damage to my colon I found a MD who also practices holistic medicine in a neighboring town. I went in for a consult and the first thing she did, without me even bringing it up, was order the allergy test. It was expensive, my insurance didn't cover the laboratory but the Dr gave me the test and I believe I paid $350. it was $1500 if I had her send it through the ins and they refused it. It was the best $350 I ever spent and it would have even been worth the $1500 if I had to pay that!!
I urge you seriously to find a Dr that will order this test for you. Going through the company themselves is possible but when I checked into before I found a Dr to do it they wanted $2500. and at that time it was only a hope for me that it might be an answer. Reading the info on the web about
it being baseless science I didn't have it done bc I couldn't afford to pay that much for another dead end waste of time. Had I done it then I would probably have my colon today.
