I'm 31 and female. For the last 6 or so years, after I eat, I sometimes have eye pain and pressure around my eyes. I have described it as the feeling of something pushing my eyes out of their sockets out of my head, like one of those tension-head squooshy things for stress relief (haha.. anyone get that descript
ion?) Also, sometimes it feels like one eye has more pressure than another, or my surrounding eye area has a slight cold sensation... Also, in the past I've experienced blurred vision, I still have slight double vision, a number of floaters, and worsening night vision. I've had strong reactions to foods for awhile, sensitivies and intolerances to lots of foods, msg, preservatives which may make my eye 'issue's flare, so to speak. This is one of many things wrong with me, so I see it as connected to other dysfunctions in my body. I also have fatigue, aches and pains, disrupted sleep, hair loss, aches and pain, occasional vertigo, occasional headaches, 'brain fog', on and again off again memory and attention issues and trouble articulating myself.
I believe I may have experienced ecoli food poisoning from a spinach salad in 2007 that I never had it confirmed, but after eating it I urinated a toilet full of blood and had abdominal pains for weeks on both sides of my abdomen. Thought maybe it was a UTI, but it seemed to really take a toll on me. Rheumy didn't think Lupus or MS. Brain MRI looking for M.S. clear years ago. Thyroid and lyme tests normal.
I'm just wondering how the eyes are affected in Crohns. Any chance I could have this? I don't normally have abdominal pains, but I have reactions to digesting food in other systems of my body.
