GP put me on 7 days of amoxicillin for this sinus/chest cold that has hung around for over 4 weeks. He wanted me on probiotics, but I told him how those made me feel worse (past threads I talked about it). He asked if I would at least eat some Greek yogurt.
I hadn’t tried it because I thought the consistency would gross me out….I really liked it. But, I had limited brand/flavor choices in the cafeteria today. Strawberry-banana was the only flavor I liked. Problem is it had very small pieces of the fruit in it. I always had yogurt without whole fruit or it at least had large pieces I could avoid. Anyone know of a brand that has strawberry or blueberry or cherry with large or no whole fruit in it?
Also, had complained of a burning tongue in the past during the early part of my flare up. It had mostly gone away. But it is back in flames after the yogurt (I was eating regular yogurt during flare). I am wondering if my tongue does not like the cultures? It stings like crazy right now!
Age 45-50, female. Still holding on with just Pentasa and cholestyramine! Doc says most of my problems are side effects of my resection ('90) and my disease is doing GREAT and no sign of a repeat fistula. Meds now to control the lack of TI and gallbladder....happy to be out and about
. OOOpppps...first big flare up in 11 years (10/2012) - but still trying to get back to "my normal".
