Hi and welcome to the forum,

I have a history of endometriosis too and it can be hard to tell the difference pain-wise. Plus, surgeries can and do leave adhesions and nerve pain for some patients. But it sounds like your Crohn's is flaring.

I think about all the drugs you listed aside from prednisolone are all 5-ASA drugs, which may all have a different target area of the intestines. It doesn't sound like it's doing much for you. If you have an infection you're going to need antibiotics. If you don't think you can go back to the hospital, you should at least call your treating physician and find out your options. He may be able to prescribe something else without having to be hospitalized. Take care.

Hi embabe, sorry you are feeling so poorly, but glad you found the forum.

The prednisone should be able to resolve this episode of inflammation. What is the dose you're taking now? If the oral med isn't getting the inflammation under control you might need IV steroids. After you get your inflammation under control you will have to find a maintenance medication - it sounds like the 5-ASAs you've been taking aren't going to do that for you, but it is impossible to say.

For the time being, you should stick to a low residue or liquid diet. Make sure you are getting lots of fluids and you should absolutely be calling your doctor.
