Hi not creative!
I have had zero problems with anything GYN related and nothing in my medical background has anything to do with this.
His comment about the tubal ligation was kind of off-handed, I think to kind of bring home about how serious this decision is, at least to him. He said that doing everything except taking out the rectum would have no effect on my fertility. But because taking out the rectum would cause scar tissue around the specific reproductive area that I cannot think of at the moment, he said I would be more or less infertile.
From what he said, there isn't enough research done to say exactly how bad the infertility would be. Because taking out the rectum has not been done lapro for a significant length of time, and on women to boot, it isn't known exactly how much infertility is effected. From what he made me believe, however, I should except to be about 60-75% infertile. Upon discussing the decision, he said he would feel really horrible if a number of years down the road I want children and regret my decision.
So he's a really nice guy, but I was kind of taken aback regarding this. Especially since taking out my insides including the rectum had been a topic of conversation for quite a while and this had been my first time hearing about it.
Thank you for replying! It's good to hear other's experience regarding this.
