My husband had a bad bout with what the docs termed either reactive arthritis or crohns related arthritis. He had SI joint inflammation, neck inflammation and tremendously swollen knees. He had to take prednisone to get things back to normal.
So, yes, crohns could be at the cause of your joint inflammation. My suggestion is to see a rheumatologist rather than your GI or orthopedist. Also, a rheumatologist will run some blood tests to rule out other things like lupus, drug induced lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
