Unlike other diets to get the healing you are looking for you need to be 100% compliant 100% of the time.
As you are eating rice, although I am sure you are eating healthy, you are not yet on SCD. If things are working for you great, but if not, you may wish to try SCD, which means 100% compliance.
Also, it takes time to get sick and it takes time to heal. For some it is days or weeks, for me it was 8 months. Additionally for most it is two steps forward, one back, three steps forward, two back.... Typically it is not a straight line, although everyone is different. If the steps back are not expected it can be discouraging, that is why I mention it.
You are addicted to the white carbs, please know it gets much easier after about two or three weeks. We eat carbs, just not the grains and other stuff mentioned in the book. Right now I am in a smoothie phase, fruit, ice, SCD yogurt, kale, creamy goodness...
