I always type an update and then delete it. I feel like I post a little too much. But this one is new. My right side hurts when I walk. It's where I'd say my appendix is. Where I was getting sharp pain a few months ago. It isn't excruciating pain. But it is a little pinchy when I walk.

Well that's also where your ileum is. What's going on with your Crohn's at present?

I don't know what's going on period. My doctor *thinks* I have Crohn's but I won't know until my colonoscopy in February.

I have a history of pain right there. Off and on for years. Inflammation in the area was noted by ultrasound and I have a swelling of some sort right there.

The last few days, my body feels like I've been beaten. My knee feels sprained. My back hurts but it isn't a back ache. It feels how the ache I get in front feels. Lots of burning feelings in my abdomen, left side mostly, right along my side.

Well, I think you need to just hang in there until you can get your colonoscopy. Did the doc order blood or stool tests to look for inflammation markers?

Yeppers. I've had inflammation markers for years. Stool tests are negative for blood and parasites. I haven't had a stool test since July though. So it may not be accurate still.

That is exactly how I described my pain when I was diagnosed. It was almost like a "runners cramp" on my right side when I would walk or just stand. Except it felt more like a hot knife coated in sand being jabbed into my side. LOL. Turns out it was a stricture that I had removed later that year.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's during an emergency appendectomy. They thought the right side pain was "chronic appendicitis". Oops.

I no longer even think about appendicitis anymore when I get pain there. But it was after the second time I ended up at my doc with pain in the same spot that she went over my history and started to piece it together. I unfortunate have moved a lot in the last 10 years and was never with a family doctor long enough to have one look at my history long enough to say something isn't right. It's happening more frequently now though. I self diagnosed myself with IBS which I now know isn't the way it works........

I do recall having a gastro attack about 9 years ago and gping to the walk in to be assessed for dehydration. I was concerned bc I lost 10 pounds in a couple of days. The doctor told me it wasn't possible. I continued to lose weight after that and lost about 30 more pounds in 6 months. I chalked it up to retaining fluid and IBS causing the weight loss. I was young and just didn't know better.

I think I might be coming down with a virus though. I feel rough today. I've never had influenza but with these aches, something is gearing up.
