does anyone have any easy way to make a yummy smoothie but I'm lactose intolerant. Can't I just put ice in first, then some raspberry, strawberry, little bit of blueberry, some of that vanilla whey protein, and mix it up? I don't want to cause myself anymore kidney stones since I get them frequently, but it know the whey protein from the health food store is important. . My choices of fruit are a bit limited also. But raspberry, strawberry are okay then blueberry, and mandarin oranges are good too but just in a little lesser quantity. Any recipes please help, I'm trying knock off some weight while I'm at it. Thanks

My husband is the KING of smoothies. He drives me crazy. He puts everything but the kitchen sink in his. Sometimes they're good, but most of the time I won't drink them or eat the chunks. You can use any juice and fruit. Even water. There are a ton of recipes on the internet. Good luck.

I do bananas, coconut cream, berries, almond milk, vanilla, honey, and ice. It's delicious!

I make mine with water, pea protein, 1/2 c frozen fruit, 1/2 c frozen spinach/kale, and either 1/2 avocado or 1/2 c pumpkin puree. You don't taste the avocado and it or the pumpkin help thicken the smoothie.

You need some good soluble fibre in there so you get the right consistency. I recommend using things like banana, avocado or pears as the base of your smoothie and then adding other things like berries, apples, mango for extra flavour and dark leafy green for nutrition.

Make sure you have some liquid in there too! You can avoid using ice if you use frozen fruit- don't thaw, just put the frozen fruit right in.

I do- whey protein, frozen fruit, flax/chia seeds, light soy milk, some light greek yogurt, and a handfull of spinach.
