Hello Community.


I just would like to say thanks for the Admin who always bann me because I just tried to show my application for the IBD patients.
I worked a lot with the application and it's very annoying that I can't share it with you. It's a free application and I got bann because they think that I'm a spambot or I dont know why :(

I will never post it again on this forum, but on other forums the people who tried my application says that it's a good idea and very helpful.

Only a little phone application which help the people to administrate the IBD easily (store blood tests,symptoms,meal,examination and etc...)


Sorry ... I'm sad.

The bad thing is that I'm suffering from Crohn's disease too and I thought that the people will like my application. But I have no chance to show the people. :((

I'm sure you're welcome to post here as a fellow Crohn's patient as long as it's not for advertising purposes. We all have to live by these rules if we want to post here.

I don't want to advertise. I just would like to share my work and I would like to see that the people use my app which now has a free version. I wrote it for the Crohn's patients mainly.
I don't know how to show it for the target community if I get ban for it.

If you're only interested in Crohn's patients using your app, then this isn't the best forum for you. You say that you don't want to advertise, but that is what you're doing, maybe without realizing it. You use the term "target community", which is an advertising term. You state that your app "now has a free version", which is used in advertising as a ploy to get customers. You can't use this site for a "target community" for your app or other products/services, but you're welcome to talk about your disease and such or comment on others' posts.

You can find an appropriate site to share your app, but this forum isn't it.

I have two application.

One is for Crohn -> Crohn's patient (and it's not free). This is the reason that i wrote a new Free app.
One is for IBD (Colitis, Crohn, etc.. can use it)-> this is the free version and everybody can download it for free

And last time I tried to post the free version.

I don't agree with you because I made this app for the patients. Why? Because only they can use it and it is useful for them.
Since I posted it on my national IBD / Crohn's forum and in some facebook group I only get POSITIVE FEEDBACKS . And I didn't get any money for it... Everybody can try the app and can decide if he pay for it some money or not.

Where should I post it? On a gamers forum or what?

Also my app is the best on the android market at the moment because I'm a good programmer and also a Crohn's patient. So I wrote it to serve my needs.

Ok. this is not the best place for me to show it for the users. Copy that.

You've just proved my point with your own answer.

Since you actually do sell a version of your app, you stand to gain potentially by posting about it here. It's not the free app that's the problem - it's using the forum to direct us, your potential customers, to products and services that are for sale by posting it here. That's a normal advertisement practice, very common here in the US. There's absolutely nothing wrong with making apps, advertising them, and being paid for them. But the forums are not the place to advertise your work no matter how well intentioned. In fact, it can turn people off, or at least it does me.

You can always do like other sellers and pay for advertisement space.

If it is a useful app, submit it to Peter for inclusion in the resources section. Discussion of a money-making business by someone who has a vested interest in the business is not allowed.

You are more than welcome to discuss your personal experiences with Crohn's Disease. Further discussion of the app here will lead to deletion of the post and/or banning by the admin.
