I just meant that when I had active Crohn's from bleeding ulcers in my small intestine, I couldn't actually feel the ulcers....my symptoms were more from anemia then.
Ah, I get you now. Exactly the same with me. I had ulcers in my colon and terminal ileum for years without any pain. My main symptom at first was diarrhoea, then later on fevers and feeling like utter crap for hours after eating. I didn't really start getting significant pain from my Crohn's until I'd had it for 9 or 10 years. I'm sure I just gave you more info than you wanted!
Nah, don't worry, I can read entire essays on pooping :p
I feel like I can't exactly enlighten you, though. I've never had c. diff as far as I know, so I don't know what that feels like. I've also never had IBS, at least not in a form which resembles yours. I'm so bad at describing pain, but mine is usually behind the belly button/ex-stoma area. At the weekend it was really bad - I could only just function through it. I had pressure and loud and intense gurgles in that region too. I thought of SIBO and IBS but would the pain and gurgles be so concentrated in the lower right quadrant if it was that? I dunno. Anyway, long story short, I'm as baffled by my symptoms as you are by yours. I suspect a stricture but if the flex sig doesn't show one, that means yet another test - my hospital must love me.
I've got an appointment with my surgeon on the 31st December and an appointment with my GI on the 14th January. I hope I can get a few answers. I feel like all I know is I've definitely got rectal inflammation and that's about
it. After 3 months that's not very good.
Dx Crohn's in summer of 2000. (Yay )
Tried and failed: 5-ASAs, azathioprine, 6MP, Remicade, methotrexate, Humira, various diets.
Had surgery Feb '13 - subtotal colectomy with end ileostomy. First thing to put me into remission in 13 years.
Had second surgery 10th July '15 to reverse the stoma and connect the ileum to the rectum. Officially flaring again. The fun never begins.
