Will start Remicade next week but have bad sinusitis. Is this a problem?

My GI wants me to start Remicade beginning of next week. I read that of the side effects Remicade causes is sinusitis. I have these days a bad round of sinusitis : severe headache and pain in my face. Would this be a problem when taking Remicade?

GERD, gastritis, ileitis, chronic proctitis, IBS and persistent mouth ulcers and fissures
Meds: Pentasa sachets, Pentasa supp, Entocort 3 mg,, Nexium , Imuran, Baclofen, Famotidine ,Gaviscon, Calcium supplement, multivitamin, B shots, vit. D, colifoam
Pred 40 mg from Oct. 2010 till Jan.2012
Failed:Azathioprine (generic), Methotrexate

You'll have to talk to your doc about that...I'm on Humira and as far as I know, I'm only suppose to avoid my Humira if I have a fever, no fever is suppose to be no problem...I have ongoing sinusitis since I was a kid so I know what that's like, talk to your doc or even call Remicade and discuss with them but I'm sure they'll tell you it's fine unless you have a fever which indicates a serious infection which is generally the concern they have with us being on biologics.

DX with Crohn's Disease in 1991 shortly after becoming ill. CD was affecting small and large bowel & anus (perianal crohn's skin tags) & rectum for first 2 yrs of becoming sick, CD remained constant in colon (Crohn's colitis) & anus with anal tags, intolerant to oral meds. Currently on Humira (Feb 2014) once a week and B12, Vitamin A and Omega's daily. In remission but trying to combat IBS D/C.

They say you can't have remicade if you're on antibiotics, and you have to wait 10 days after the antibiotics are done to get the infusion. I call it BS and I've had my infusion while on antibiotics for an ear infection/sinusitis and just after I finished them for another ear infection. It didn't make it worse. I've only had ear infections and sinusitis since starting remicade though, so I definitely seem to be more prone to them now.

Well, I'm on rifaximin. I don't know whether this contradicts with Remicade or not but it's my GI who put me on it. I have no fever; only that horrible headache and pain in face. I took a strong anti-histamine and hope things get cleared before I start the infusions. My GI wants me to start as soon as possible and I won't expect him to postpone it for any reason other than the infection you've mentioned.
