Ah okay. I had pancolitis, but the rectum and sigmoid colon were the least affected. I took the chance on a reversal after 2 years, but the Crohn's came back in the rectum almost immediately. I'm working my way up the med ladder as I speak :-/
I also had Crohn's in the terminal ileum, but it didn't come back in the small bowel for the two years I had my stoma. However, knowing my luck, next time it would come back straight away or something.
Still, it's always nice to hear success stories and that there is a "cure" of sorts for some people with Crohn's colitis. Gives me a bit of hope, which I don't have much of otherwise.
Dx Crohn's in June 2000. (Yay )
Tried: 5-ASAs, azathioprine, 6MP, Remicade, methotrexate, Humira, diets.
1st surgery 20/2/13 - subtotal colectomy with end ileostomy.
2nd surgery 10/7/15 - ileorectal anastomosis. Stoma reversed and ileum connected to the rectum.
Current status: Chronic flare. Do I have any other kind?
Current meds: 50mg 6MP
