I have been on entyvio for 11 months. It has put me into remission which is great. The only problem I have is that the last three infusions have left me really sick. Lots of blood and general feeling sick in my gut feeling. My NP told me to take Benadryl before I go or they could give it to me at the infusion center?
Has anyone else had any adverse reactions? Have you been able to stay on Entyvio? I really need this medicine to continue working.

Is it possible you have some sort of infection
I believe they can test for antibodies to entyvio now
Maybe you are having a reaction to is?

I'm assuming you've already been on Remicade and/or Humira, and maybe imuran or 6mp as well?

How soon after the infusion do the problems start? And how long do they last?

Benadryl is given at some infusion centers, but benadryl is a short-acting antihistamine. It gets cleared from your body in a few hours after you get it. So if you are having issues, say, 2 or 3 days after the infusion, benadryl isn't likely to help. It's more for immediate reactions to the infusion, while you're getting it.

Probably best to talk to your doctor about what's going on.
