Last Wednesday I had 2 draining setons placed. I drained heavily but as of this morning I've completely stopped draining. It feels like the pressure pain I've had before my abscess would burst, like it's building again. Is this even possible?

I've been long told that once the setons are in the tract can't close and therefore I won't have the cycle of pressure pain/ build up/burst abscess. I'm unsure this is surgical pain and of course I'm trying not to completely lose my marbles here.

UB,

Right now you are going thru a difficult time. Hang in there and vent to us if needed.

I understand where you are coming from. Sometimes I feel like if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.

Can you move the setons? Would that possibly help?
