It does sound like partial obstruction pain and, yes, that's not pain you should ever just learn to live with.
I'm not a fan of prednisone but if you have strictures caused primarily by inflammation and not scar tissue, steroids should see you through until you can see a GI and get on a biologic. It doesn't sound like you have any doctor at the moment, so next time a pain episode occurs go to the ER and ask for prednisone. Hopefully it will help but its effects are only temporary unfortunately: you will still need to get on a biologic for long-term treatment.

Tried: 5-ASAs, azathioprine, 6MP, Remicade, methotrexate, Humira, diets.
1st surgery 20/2/13 - subtotal colectomy with end ileostomy.
2nd surgery 10/7/15 - ileorectal anastomosis. Stoma reversed and ileum connected to the rectum.
Current status: Chronic flare. Do I have any other kind?
Current meds: 50mg 6MP; Entyvio (started 3/11/16)
