I haven't been on here for a while, but wishing you all good health and recovery.

I have a question for folks who have changed medication.

I recently moved to the USA from UK - and have just found out that Pentasa 500mg in USA is Capsule, and the UK is a slow releasing tablet.

Should I be scared to take the new capsule form? Is it better to find another 500mg tablet or stick with Pentasa brand but in capsule forml?

Any help much appreciated - thank you!

I think the results are going to be similar but you should be able to go to http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/about.cfm and look up Pentasa's prescribing information to see what part of the intestines the American form of Pentasa targets.
