I am scheduled for my first colonoscopy tomorrow. I drank the first bottle of Suprep at 6:30, followed by 32 ounces of water. I started violently vomiting within 10 minutes. I took anti nausea medication but I'm pretty sure I threw that up as well. I am now concerned that there is not enough of the prep left in me to do its job. I'm supposed to drink the other bottle at midnight. It has been a little over an hour and nothing is happening except the nausea. I hope this misery wasn't for nothing. Suggestions?? Is it possible it is just taking this long to work? TIA!

Can you get a hold of an on call doctor with the office? This would be something to call about. I have used suprep and it works pretty quickly but I definitely had the nausea too. I managed to barely keep it down though. If you can get the next one down fully you might still be able to have the procedure but so call your Doc!

It's past your date but I hope it went OK.

I had trouble (vomiting) with Suprep and switched to the Miralax prep right away in the middle of the night. It got me clear enough for the scope but I did continue to feel sick and needed more anti-nausea medicine (a lot) once I got to hospital.

I won't use Suprep again.

I think they don't care so much which prep as long as you get clear. So it's good to have the Miralax as back up.
