Nearly missed this.
I can only recommend my own GI, as I don't actually know any others. But he's very good and I would recommend him to anybody with IBD. That said, as I've never had a fistula myself, I'm not sure how much he knows about
fistulas. But he keeps up to date with other stuff relating to Crohn's, so hopefully he would also keep up to date with fistula treatments.
I'm not sure where in the UK you are willing to travel to, but I'm based in the south east, about
30 miles north of London. Let me know if you're interested. PS: I would get a scope right before leaving for the UK, so you have something current to show the doc.
Dx Crohn's in June 2000. (Yay )
Tried: 5-ASAs, azathioprine, 6MP, Remicade, methotrexate, Humira, diets.
1st surgery 20/2/13 - subtotal colectomy with end ileostomy.
2nd surgery 10/7/15 - ileorectal anastomosis. Stoma reversed and ileum connected to the rectum.
Current status: Chronic flare. Do I have any other kind?
Current meds: 50mg 6MP; Entyvio (started 3/11/16)
