I know how you feel - Crohn's can take you to the very bottom of the barrel (pretty sure I'm there right now), but, as bad as these times feel, and as hard as it can be, things do improve. PEriods of remission can last for years, and all of the symptoms can go away, it's just the kick in the teeth when they come back again.
It can be hard talking to loved ones, and doctors - sometimes they don't seem all that bothered about
the mental effect it can have, they don't understand what it's like to know this is it, for the rest of your life. I personally have found this forum, and others on this site, wonderfully helpful and supportive, especially when you are feeling low and like there'e no point to anything.
Do know that all the while this board exists, you're not alone - the people on here are wonderful and full of advice, pointers, and there are plenty of virtual hugs
