My stool sample had a crp level of 1009 but no bacteria etc.
Blood work was normal
Colonoscopy a couple weeks later had patchy - very mild non specific colitis in sigmoid Said 99% of my colon looked normal including rectum.
The very mild patchy inflamation went up towards transverse. ( i guess there were tiny specs, spaced out) He basically dismissed me.
But the abdominal pain is bothersome. It has been 2 months.
Everything else was macro and microscopically normal (ilium + rectum) in the 5 other tossue samples. , the patholgist commented : there are lymphoid aggregates present in the biopies.

Upper endoscopy showed gastritis (possibly related??)

When it started i was going 4-5x for a fcouple weeks, mushy stool no blood. Now i go twice a day but the stool is weirdly shaped, formed but soft.

Doctor said is is IBS and just risidual inflammation. My anxiety wont let me accept this... please someone give me your input. Thank you.

It doesn't make sense to say your stool sample had a crp of 1009. Do you mean a fecal calprotectin level of 1009?

This doesn't sound like IBS to me. IBS doesn't make your crp or fecal calprotectin levels go up, nor does it lead to patchy inflammation in the sigmoid colon.

Have you had any recent infections? Do you take NSAIDs (like aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc)? Do you take any other medications?

Any other symptoms, like fevers, joint aches, fatigue, night sweats, skin problems, eye problems, etc?

Fatigue and night sweats for sure, but i figured the sweat could be from panic attacks. And yes im sorry i meant to say my fecal calprotectin sample had a value of 1009. Crp i believe was normal. The doctor said i could have gotten an infection and not have realized but that seems hard to beleive. He ssaid after the scope/biopsies its not Chrons because only rhe uppee layer is inflammed and the ilium is fine, and not UC because its patchy and the rectum is fine. It was so minimal he said it resemble PI-IBS withrisidual inflammation. I have since gotten a second opinion and this doctor seems to beleve i have microscopic colitis....i never had any bleeding and not much urgency... stiool was neve compleatly watery...idk ... but that you for the reply
