After re- reading the rules, I see we can finally openly discuss MMJ. Thank you for finally changing that rule.
My question focuses on a coincidence perhaps. I wonder if my decrease in the use of mmj has led to the worst continual flare I've yet had. To be honest, I, just got tired of the side effects of mmj. And although I felt fine for most of the Last couple years, I never could honestly and absolutely ascribe the relief to the mmj....
So here I am, sick as a dog, wondering if in fact that was the very thing keeping me from being sick. So my question is: can someone please recommend a strain that will produce the best possible effect on my digestive tract while having the absolute least impact on my head and appetite. I seek (i suppose) LOW THC, HIGH CBD, and???? Probably an indica. I don't want to feel anything in my head, I don't want the munchies, I only want the inflammation to go away.

Hey man, I have my card in Ontario. It is really easy to get if you have been medically diagnosed with Crohns.

Where you are from, hopefully has these same rules!

I order from a company called Tilray. They have a CBD strain with a low THC level. The highest percentage of CBD I've seen is around %12. And Then the highest THC with that being %12 as well, but you can get %8 and %4 and even %2 THC levels.

Yes I always tend to stay with the indica side of cannabis as well. But if you only have the street to buy from then try to get cannabis grown outdoor. It will have a lower THC level.

If you Youtube - cannabis tincture for crohns disease - I put up a video of a tincture that is a little easier to take and if you figure out the right dose, you wont get the head high

I'm going to make a post detailing my experience with medical Marijuana. But long story short, as far as I'm concerned I don't have crohns when I use it as treatment.

Also in Ontario and will be asking my GI about getting a card tomorrow.

I am interested in reading your experiences. My GI is fully on board and I'm in a legal state. I hope you include what strains you use, how many times a day, etc. It would be great to have another resource to draw upon a I'm getting closer to trying this route. My son installed an app on my phone so I can research the strains but it's overwhelming for a newbie to follow.

Mrs. Brady, if you are considering this, I urge you to seek out the services of a reputable supplier in your area. Since it is legal in your state you should have access to facilities that have people well versed in use for medicinal purposes. This will alleviate trying to browse the net & being overwhelmed with info that may not be reliable. I know an individual that flew to California & met with a dr that was able to work with her to help get her exactly what she needed. Like you, she was not after a buzz or the munchies. It is legal in the state she lives in but she was not comfortable with the locals claiming they had all of this experience with various medical conditions. She says it was money well spent & would do it again.

Hi Mrs Brady,

I don't have much information on the strand since I originally experimented with it using product from a friend who grows his own for his own IBD. I was looking for relief from the pain so badly that I was willing to try anything.

Here is where I posted about my experience:
