Wanting a colonoscopy after 2 years of last having one isn't 'neurotic' but reasonable, even if you weren't suffering, which you are.
And Crohn's can present in subtle ways. As it so happened I got diagnosed pretty early, but that was just pure luck, as with my lack of symptoms (pain, bleeding, fever etc.) I could easily have been fobbed off with IBS for years first. Any doctor who says a Crohn's flare is always highly obvious doesn't know what they are talking about
As for B12, I'd look into a sublingual spray. Such a spray managed to raise my level to just above 400, which is the first time I've known my B12 level be that high - it's been low 300s at best before now.
