I've had Crohn's for over 30 years & have been on Asacol & Imuran. My GI said they're not working because I now have a narrowing in my descending colon, & wanted me to start biologics. I started Remicade in October, & from the very beginning, I had problems...palpitations with panic attacks, bad heartburn, throat pain & now Psorasis that is getting worse even with steroid creams. After my last treatment in December, I decided to discontinue Remicade, so my doctor suggested Entivyvio since it goes right to the gut. My dermatologist however suggests Humera to help with Psorasis & the joint pain I've also been experiencing. Since Entivyvio is not systemic, it shouldn't cause other problems. I don't know what to do.

If remicade gave you problems then humira May cause you problems too since they are like sister drugs. Humira would maybe help with the psoriasis and joint pains but it made my joint pain 10x worse. Everyone is different though but I would probably choose entyvio over humira.

When I was on Remicade after being on it about
3 years, all of the sudden psoriasis reared its head. To this day we have no idea why. I was then put on Humira, my dr warned me that more than likely the same thing would happen & it did. I had 4 different kinds of psoriasis hitting at one time. I ended up with cellulitis in both legs along with staph infections. I finally went off Humira, I got tired of being in & out of the hospital because of the staph. Not saying this will happen to you, but Humira & Remicade are similar.
I would do a little more research & then make a decision.
